We woke to another sunny day, and decided to visit Ickworth House, a country house near Bury St. Edmunds in Suffolk. This Neoclassical House is quite unusual. The focal point is the Rotunda, a giant round building with wings to the left and right. One of the wings is now a hotel.
The gardens near the house have an Italian influence, very manicured. But other parts of the garden are more informal. We would say definitely worth a visit, especially if you are a National Trust Member.
