England and Welsh borders in Shropshire...

Our Adria had been in store far too long, it was time to hitch up and get on the road again...

Friday, 9th September 2016, we headed north west to Shropshire and pitched on a Caravan and Camping site at Knockin. Again, quite amazed how busy the site is, managed to get an outside pitch overlooking trees and what looks like a boggy area.

One of our fellow campers asked us what we thought of the site, that was difficult to answer.
It wasn't the best, it looked scruffy...
I would have preferred some planting around the pitch to soften the edges and give a little privacy, especially as our stay was for seven nights...

LUDLOW
That gave us some time to do some exploring around the area.

Two veterans outside of the Kings Head pub, Shrewsbury

We watched a veteran being interviewed by BBC Shropshire and then this gentlemen
Ant enquires about the ceremony being held in Chad's Church

We find out that it's The county regiment of Shropshire, The Rifles, is granted the Freedom of Shrewsbury by the town council and there follows a march through the town
We had the good fortune to see the troops march through the streets of Shrewsbury. I have found a link that shows some pictures of the ceremony and march.
