We had tried to book into Ashridge Farm Caravan Club Site for a few days but that was fully booked so we decided to try the Cambridge Camping and Caravan Site.
We went off to Venture Caravans to collect our Adria. We found it standing in their yard. Ant went off to get the car. Fortunately for me, one of their caravan experts directed Ant back to hitch up. Ant was given the nod to stop, I nearly cried out 'No! that won't do, the towbar is at least 6" away from the car...'
But before the car could be repositioned, our Adria was picked up and we were hitched!
It didn't take too long to get to the site. We managed to pick a good pitch up against a hedge. Fortunately, when we arrived it was sunny. We were keen to get our new awning up, it's a tad larger than the other, but basically the same design. So we really didn't think it would take long but 2 hours later we were banging in the last peg!!
You may ask why would it take that long? The Site warden was obviously asking the same question as he had asked several times if we needed any help... Somehow we had managed to make a few errors ... Oh well, as mentioned earlier it was sunny and there was no real hurry....
