Kaye and Ant hit Broadway.....

Thursday 5th November, 2015

We woke to a dismal day but it wasn't going to deter us. We hitched up our caravan and got on the road again.

We headed north west to Broadway in the Cotswolds.

After arriving at the site, and choosing our pitch, Ant managed to fill the drinking water carrier, sort out the caravan toilet cassette, and fit the waste water carrier, before the great downpour.

It never amazes us to see these caravan club sites almost completely full in off peak times and this one is no different.

The Wanderer housed in a glass case in the Goods Shed
The caravan site is on part of the once Broadway station. A Goods Shed has been converted into a toilet /shower block and also houses the very first holiday caravan, The Wanderer, made in 1884 by Bristol Wagon Works Company for Dr William Gordon Stables.

Broadway station opened in 1904 and closed in 1960.

A team of volunteers are now reconstructing the station and track to run a heritage steam train.
