Wimpole Estate

We woke to an eerily quiet after having had a night of 40 mph gusts, with the awning buffeting our Adria all night. But it was just a lull, the weather forecast indicated further 40 mph winds later in the day, so we decided to visit Wimpole Estate. 

The winds were getting up BUT they were not going to let us in until the clock struck 11.00am

We were very impressed with Wimpole Estate. The staff and volunteers were very knowledgeable and made it that much more interesting.

They have extensive grounds to explore, including a parterre garden, walled garden, parkland and woodland areas, great for a warm Summer day! 
Maybe, we will come back another time.
