Branscombe pub celebrating VE Day

Fairly early rise to a  full english breakfast and wonderful views over Seaton, river Axe and the sea. Weather was in our favour, after a short drive, we set off on another walk, this time going beyond Beer to Branscombe. Wonderful views up on the cliff walk, and challenging inclines!

We finally arrived at Branscombe, gasping for a drink, we came across The Fountain Head, a musician in the courtyard setting up her equipment. 'We are celebrating VE Day' she cries.

We sat outside,  under the bunting flapping in the breeze, music in the background and watched the staff push tables together and cover with large tablecloths.  Locals arrive with their party dishes and place on the covered tables. We prepare ourselves for the hike back and leave the party getting into full swing.
