Our discoveries around the Lot region

Cahors, chief city of the Lot, lies in a meander of the river as it has for about 2000 years since the Romans founded it
The Pont Valentré is a 14th-century six-span fortified stone arch bridge crossing the Lot River
to the west of Cahors.

Surrounded by ancient houses and places of business is this fine looking, if not a little unusual, mechanical clock. It was designed and built in 1997. The interesting time piece drops metal balls through a series of metal chutes and cogs, making the mechanism go round and keep perfect time.
