Goodbye Pareloup Lake....

Sunday 12th June 2016
It's time to move on, we had thought of going to a campsite near Figeac on the Lot river. But we had been hearing tales of French rivers flooding due to the unusually wet weather in France this year

That reminds me, we had been keeping a close watch on the Lake. Ant had been placing markers on the beach, we reckon in the time we've been here at Pareloup Lake, the reservoir has risen about 4 foot!

Time to leave..... Clouding over in these parts now...

We have met a fellow camper, her first time travelling around Europe in her camper van. She had left the day before us, heading for Villefranche-de-Rouergue. This seemed a good idea, we could spend some time around the town in the evenings.
That was decided, so we also set off for Villefranche-de-Rouergue.
Although we expected the site to be alright, it was much better than we expected. Facilities ok. With free wifi and bar and a tv area.

Teresa, was keen to cycle to a nearby, medieval village perched on a hill, Najac. In a moment of merriment after sampling some local wine, we also thought we would attempt this ride. What a decision.. Really hard up those hills but how rewarding it turned out to be when we finally returned to the site. Phew.@
