A smell of oil and pistons ...

Shuttleworth aircraft Collection is held at Old Warden Aerodrome near Biggleswade and all aircraft can fly. You may think, what's unusual about that?

This unique historic collection comprises of planes mostly flown upto the Second World War.

They also have a vehicle collection with a Benz International Dogcart dating from 1898 and a Motor Cycle Collection with a Singer Motor Wheel dating back to 1900.

It is very much a hands on airfield, although working with historic aircraft, there was much activity going on in the Engineering Workshop. A Spitfire was in pieces, with a team working on it and other planes were being worked on. We understand they have a small core team and the support of many volunteers and encouraging younger enthusiasts.
