We went looking for highest point on the south coast, the Golden Cap at 627ft (191m), with views along the shore to the tip of Portland Bill in one direction and to Start Point in the other. Fortunately, it was only a short drive just east of Charmouth. We parked the car at Langdon Hills carpark, National Trust owned, and climbed to the peak.
