Exploring Cambridge

Long queues at Madingley Rd, Cambridge Park and Ride
We were keen to discover Cambridge and parked up on the outskirts of the town at their Park and Ride. Apparently, the local council had recently changed the parking machines, whereas there is a charge for the bus ride into the town and a further charge for parking. Having these two charges, had created a very complicated procedure that caused some confusion with the locals and visitors. We witnessed very long queues for these machines and small outbursts of disapproval.

We soon put all that behind us, when we stepped off the bus in the town centre. We really enjoyed our visit and found the people of Cambridge very friendly. We couldn't leave without going punting .....
