Merville Gun Battery

The Merville Gun Battery was a coastal fortification in NormandyFrance, in use as part of the Nazis' Atlantic Wall built to defend continental Europe from Allied invasion. It was a particularly heavily fortified position and one of the first places to be attacked by Allied forces during the Normandy Landings commonly known as D-Day.
It is 8th June , 2014, our family group agreed to meet up at 11.00am at the Merville Gun Battery. We didn't do too badly, we were all present and correct at 11.30am. A Mass Blessing Ceremony had just finished.
