It is the 10th June, 2014 we have all planned to meet in
Bayeux at 12.30pm for lunch.
We parked up and walked towards the Cathedral.
We had noticed there were road barriers across certain roads.
When we arrived at the Cathedral there was a large crowd of people
watching the new Bells being removed from inside the Cathedral
and placed on a truck parked outside the building.
I had read that a ceremony in the Cathedral was held early on the 6th to pay
'special tribute' to those who took part in the Normandy landings and are still living.
Some were present that morning. The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall
were also present on behalf of the Queen. The ceremony also included the blessing
of the new bells.
After our lunch Ant and I went back to the Cathedral to see
what was happening with the Bells.
We were just in time to see the last Bell had already been lifted
up into the Bell Tower and was just disappearing inside.

We all met up at 12.30pm and found a restaurant that could
accommodate all of us on one table, on the pavements of Bayeau.
